Benjamin Moore Sherwin Williams Pantone®
Colors of the year 2014
Painters often work with homeowners who struggle with picking an interior color they love and that will work well in their home. Grants Painting has a color consultant on staff at all times to make sure the interior paint color you choose works well in your space and will be the envy of all your neighbors. Not sure what color to choose? Below, you will find the top interior paint colors for 2014.
Benjamin Moore Color
For 2014 Benjamin Moore has chosen Breath of Fresh Air (806). This color can be described as a very light and subtle blue and can truly be a “Breath of Fresh Air” to any interior paint job. Sometimes light blues seem almost too bright for interior colors. This blue, however, is very soft and elegant and can brighten any interior room in all the right ways. I would recommend keeping this color in a low gloss to maintain its softness and calm appearance.
Sherwin Williams Color
For 2014, Sherwin Williams selected Exclusive Plum (SW6263) as their interior color of the year. This is a elegant color that can have a dramatic feel without being “stuffy” or making the room feel small. This diverse color will lend itself too many styles including historic, “playhouse fun” to classically historic. Pantone’s color of the year for 2014 is Radiant Orchid (18-3224). Many readers may not be as familiar with Pantone. Pantone creates colors for several different industries including textile items such as fabrics, printing inks and wall coverings. As a result, Pantone can be used a great accent color for different fabrics within you interior room update. However, if you are looking at using this color as an interior paint, here are some suggestions. The easiest way to match Pantone color’s is by going to your local Lowes and looking at the Pantone colors in the Valspar line. While Grant’s Painting does not use Valspar, mostly due to value issues and generic formulations, the Signature series is a great line to choose from if you are into DIY. Although Valspar Signature series can be expensive, it is a great “jack of all trades, master of none” paint and can be worth the extra expense for an interior paint.
